Rules:
• Fic minimum: 500 words.
• Art (drawn/digital): one finished piece of art - this may be done by traditional or digital means, but should be original art, inked and/or colored.
• If a person submits an assignment that does not meet the minimum requirements, their recipient will still appear on the pinch hit list.
• Treats are welcome and encouraged. They do not have to fulfill the minimums for assignments but must obey any DNWs listed by the recipient. Treats can also be posted to the collection itself without a listed recipient.
FAQ:
What counts as a Stephen King canon?
We are counting all works (novels, short stories, screenplays, poems, etc.) written or co-written by Stephen King and all adaptations from Stephen King material. This includes works that don’t adapt a single specific source, like the Castle Rock TV series, and works that may be of tenuous connection to their original material. If you want to nominate Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace, we’ll support that. You can also nominate works that are known but unpublished, like King’s hypothetical Peter Wimsey novel, though we may ask for clarification about where the work is mentioned.
Is RPF allowed?
Stephen King himself is a canonical Stephen King character in the Dark Tower series, so he can be nominated/requested/offered, but we will not accept RPF crossover works involving him with his family and friends, actors, and/or other real life people not included in his fiction.
Other than that, is anything NOT allowed?
So long as the characters are fictional and you don't violate your recipient's DNWs, you can write whatever you want.
Nominations:
Using the AO3 form, submit up to five fandoms with up to six characters and/or character combinations per fandom. Character combinations or relationships will be entered into the Characters field as Group: Character A & Character B or Group: Character A/Character B. You can also nominate Group: Character A & Any or Group: Character A/Any.
We will allow “Character” nominations that are “Fandom - No Character” or “Fandom - Worldbuilding.”
Crossover characters and relationships are nominated as their own fandom: “Crossover Fandom.” These must be crossovers between King-related canons. If you are nominating a character from one canon as a solo character in another canon--like Danny Torrance from The Shining in the world of Lisey’s Story--please include the relationship the character has with the non-origin canon. If you’re requesting a relationship of some sort between characters of different canons, it’s helpful but not necessary to include the characters’ canons in the nomination.
So this:
Fandom: Crossover Fandom
Characters: Group: Danny Torrance & Lisey’s Story, Group: Danny Torrance & Bill Hodges, Group: Danny Torrance/Carrie White, Group: Louis Creed/Alan Pangborn, Group: Johnny Smith (The Dead Zone TV) & Danny Torrance (Doctor Sleep), Group: Randall Flagg & Gerald’s Game.
If the name of the character is also the name of a canon, mods may ask you to disambiguate platonic relationships. We need to know if you mean Randall Flagg & Cujo the book vs. Randall Flagg & Cujo, the touching story of a man and his rabid dog. If you nominate Randall Flagg/Cujo, on the other hand, we’ll get it.
Request Instructions:
You must request at least three unique fandoms. The maximum number of requested fandoms is ten. It’s fine to repeat the same fandom with different character combinations as long as you are still requesting at least three different fandoms overall.
For each request, please choose a fandom and a character. (The character can also be “Any” or, if nominated for that fandom, “Fandom - No Character” or “Fandom - Worldbuilding” for stories not centered around a particular character.) Otherwise, use that field to request characters and group combinations like Carrie White or Group: Carrie White/Sue Snell or Group: Jake Chambers & Roland Deschain. You can request up to ten characters or character groups per request. You can also request Any, meaning that your assigned author or artist could create a fanwork about any character in the nominated tagset.
Please also select whether you would like to receive fic, art, or both.
If you would like to write a letter giving more details about your requests, you can link it in the letter field. You can also use the Optional Details field to enter any prompts or likes.
Important: If you have any DNWs (do not wants--i.e., things that would ruin a work for you), please include them in the Optional Details. Only DNWs included in the Optional Details can be enforced by the mods.
Offer Instructions:
You must offer at least three unique fandoms and at least two characters/groups per fandom; you can offer a maximum of ten fandoms and ten characters/groups per fandom. Please select whether you are offering fic, art, or both.
Sample Offer:
Fandom: Dark Tower - Series
Characters: Susan Delgado, Group: Eddie Dean/Susannah Dean/Roland Deschain, Group: Jake Chambers & Oy

Since King has a bunch of books with really large casts and we're allowing matching on relationships, we're trying to make sure people can request as many possible combinations as they like. And also so they can make different requests in the same fandom for fic and art if they want.
You're welcome! I think it'll be really fun.
